The terms, in the same plain language as the product.

These terms are between you and eSec Forte Technologies, Gurugram, India, the operator of Signet at emailsecurity.pro. By using the free tools or creating an account you accept them. If you are using Signet for an organisation, you confirm you are allowed to bind that organisation to these terms.

Signet reads the public DNS records that govern email authentication, verifies individual messages, processes DMARC and TLS reports sent to addresses you point at us, and can host certain records on your behalf. It reports what it finds and recommends changes. It does not make changes to your DNS; you do.

Email authentication and deliverability monitoring on this platform are free and will remain free. If we introduce paid options for things beyond that, such as longer retention or a large number of domains, they will be described and priced on this site before anyone is charged, and nothing that is free today will become paid.

You may scan any domain, because the scan reads only public DNS. You may add a domain for monitoring only if you control it or are authorised by its owner, and monitoring starts only after you publish a verification record in that domain’s DNS. If we find a domain has been added without authority, we will remove it.

You agree not to:

• use the tools to attack, overload or probe systems you are not authorised to test;
• send abusive, unlawful or deliberately malformed mail to the message check addresses;
• bypass rate limits, scrape the service, or use it to build a competing dataset;
• direct reports for domains you do not control to Signet;
• resell access to the service without our written agreement.

We apply rate limits to the free tools so that they remain available to everyone. If you need a higher limit for legitimate use, ask.

You own the reports and records associated with your domains. You grant us the right to process them to provide the service, which is described in full in the privacy policy. We may use aggregated, non-identifying statistics, such as how many domains are at p=reject, to improve the scanner and to publish research. We will never publish anything that identifies your domain or organisation without your permission.

We work to keep findings accurate and to fix the scanner when they are not. But the service reads public records and reports produced by third parties, and it cannot see what those records and reports do not contain. A clean scan is not a guarantee that your mail will be delivered, and a clean report is not a guarantee that nobody is spoofing you. The service is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.

You are responsible for the DNS changes you make. Signet shows you the exact record and what it will do; the decision to publish it, and to move a DMARC policy to enforcement, is yours. We recommend a testing period before enforcement and the product is built around one.

To the fullest extent the law allows, eSec Forte Technologies is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost revenue, or lost mail arising from use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which for a free service is nil. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

We aim to keep the service available at all times but do not guarantee it. We may change or withdraw features, and we will give account holders reasonable notice by email before withdrawing anything they rely on. Hosted records are the exception: if we ever had to stop hosting an MTA-STS policy or a reporting address, we would give at least 90 days’ notice, because those records are in your DNS.

You can delete your account at any time and we will delete your data as described in the privacy policy. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and will say why. Sections on your data, liability and governing law survive the end of the agreement.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by talking to us first is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Gurugram, Haryana.
